Lifestyle Medicals
Prevention starts with knowing where you stand.
You don't have to wait until something is wrong to see a doctor.
The Lifestyle Medical is a 60-minute preventive health assessment with Consultant Internist Dr. Petra Crookendale, designed for adults who want to take a proactive approach to their health.
We look at where you are now — your medical and family history, health risks, recommended screening and everyday lifestyle — and identify the areas that deserve attention for the year ahead.
Is a Lifestyle Medical right for me?
A Lifestyle Medical is designed for adults who want to take a proactive approach to their health and is recommended once a year as part of your preventive care.
It may be particularly useful if you:
Want to understand your risk for conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or cardiovascular disease
Want to make sure your recommended health screening is up to date
Have a family history of medical conditions that concern you
Want practical guidance on improving your long-term health
Have made health or lifestyle changes and want to review your progress
Simply want to stay on top of your health from year to year
What happens during your Lifestyle Medical?
Your 60-minute assessment includes:
Review of your medical and family history
Assessment of relevant health risks
Review of recommended screening and preventive care
Blood pressure measurement
Physical examination tailored to your needs
Review of lifestyle factors including nutrition, physical activity, sleep and stress
